WITH wastage in mind it was in July 2006 that I was advised of three tractor type ride-on mowers, with trailers, being delivered to the West Midlands. Those mowers together with their trailers said to be worth around 17K each were subsequently found to be too wide for the towpaths!

OH DEAR, so much controversy in relation to the proposed takeover of the Canal & River Trust and yet more of the family silver already going to raise funds.

WHILST it is my intention this week to comment on various issues I'd like to begin with two articles in narrowboatworld that I feel may ‘fit' with what I have to say.

THIS week I begin with an update with regard to ‘Operation Trafalgar' i.e. British Waterways new workboats.
