The increase in funding must not be directly proportional to personal bonuses at any cost.
Performance related criteria opens the door to the same abuses as before. The 'culture' needs to be changed.
Not convinced it is as good as implied. Who valued the 'assets?' The 'deal' is dependent upon British Waterway (Canal & River Trust) achieving certain 'performance' criteria.
Is it a 'culture' that understands this? Who covers future potential pension holes? Maybe I'm too cynical but I'd have never signed a contract like this when I was in business.Too much left to chance!
